Joie de Vivre

Joie de Vivre
A sculpture designed to celebrate a married couple’s life. A good life built as educators. Now celebrating 50 years of marriage. Jeff and Nancy, in a goal to celebrate that successful life chose to do more. Jeff and Nancy chose to take their property to take their lakefront home and make a cultural public statement. Joie de vivre is that public statement. Joie de vivre at 12’ 7” tall above the ground celebrates life at an exceptional level. A life where you dance more than you fret. A life where you see a world as potential not as limitations. The sculptures tile chosen by Jeff and Nancy Joie de vivre roughly translated means “An Exuberant Enjoyment of Life.”
The joie de vivre stylized bird form maiden will dance in that embracing bent tree sculptural form for hundreds of years never touching the ground or falling. A long-life sculptural spirit gracing the air but protected by that grounded tree with limbs like parental arms protecting the gift of exception.
Jeff and Nancy chose to give the surrounding lakes communities, the state, the nation. and the world a visual gift. Welcome to joie de vivre!
