All that Jazz

All that Jazz sculpture housed in front of a music pavilion in Canadian lakes challenges the energy of performed music at a new level. I designed the stylized figures in All that Jazz to be nothing more that a hint of the human forms bringing life to the air around this lake view pavilion.  Light dances thru All that Jazz figures and empowers a new level of the visual presence. The very dated, predictable and somewhat cute character of almost all previous art roughly defined as public in the area desperately needed a compelling step forward that inspired contemporary and a visual voice for the young. Once unveiled All that Jazz sculpture seemed to solicit the following from the areas very conservative old guard. The complaint being that this new pavilion sculpture is not who we are! My response being pure to cause, and change was” Who in the hell is WE?”
